Face, Neck, Scalp Massage Techniques LMT 12 HANDS ON CE
Kansa Wand Techniques will be covered in this Class
This class will be several different techniques that Licensed Massage Therapists can offer as a stand alone session or as upgrades to regular massage sessions. The techniques are designed to infuse the client with comfort, relaxation and tranquility. The techniques can also help reduce eyestrain, muscle tension in the face, scalp and neck and enhance flexibility, blood circulation and lymph drainage. By calming the nerves and relaxing the muscles the treatments taught in the class will encourage and incorporate deep abdominal breathing and provide benefits to the whole body. There will be (4) techniques taught-(1) Prone Scalp/neck massage (2) Supine Scalp/Neck/Trapezius Massage and gentle stretching and traction for the upper body (3) Face massage Techniques to work the muscles of the face-KANSA WAND FACIALS-I WILL SUPPLY THE WANDS FOR CLASS (4) Techniques to recognize and help clients with "Tech Neck" via massage and what contraindications to look for

Compression Massage-Full Body/TABLE THAI

CLASS DESCRIPTION
This class will be compression techniques and LOTS of stretching to help release muscle pain, tightness and the relief of stress throughout the whole body. Full body with 85% of the class hands on. The class is broken down into (3) sequences-(Table Thai) These are the compression techniques and stretches I use with my personal clients. Students will learn the proper placement of the hands/palms or fists to help their clients release tension in the muscles. Students will learn when to apply compression, how firm or light to compress and where to apply. They will be taught certain contraindications of compression and with the stretches. Most of the class time will be spent mastering the art of the stretch with client on the table. Age appropriate compression and how to effectively communicate with their clients with regard to pressure regulation. Students will learn the value of compression as a safe and effective means of providing deep tissue type massage without the same wear and tear on the therapists body. Students will learn how to incorporate these techniques into their standard massage. Unlike Thai on the mat-Table Thai can be used alone or blended into your regular massage. By the end of the class students must show they have a proper understanding of all three sequences-Head, Neck and Scalp, Supine and Prone positions by adequately performing them on a partner under the supervision of the instructor. Students will be able to perform each step in the 3 sequences. These techniques DO NOT require Therapist being ON the table with the client.

THAI MASSAGE CLASS INFO: 12 HOUR HANDS ON CE
Students will learn (3) sequences in this class-Sitting, Supine and Prone. All work is done on mats which I provide. Work is very physically demanding and requires being on your knees much of the class. I usually provide a couple of tables in case there is a student with knee issues. The flow of the 3 sequences will result in being able to perform a Thai Massage on the mat that will take approximately 90 minutes to perform on a client-the work you do will be with your hands, feet, fists and body and contains none of the Energy protocols with Traditional Thai Bodywork. I have to omit the energy portions of the class to satisfy the requirements of the GA Board of Massage requirements. They disallow energy work of any kind for CE classes

STUDENTS WILL LEARN HOW TO PERFORM A "RAPID" REIKI TREATMENT (SOMETIMES A LITTLE IS BETTER THAN NONE)
STUDENTS WILL LEARN THE FIVE REIKI PRINCIPLES AND HOW THEY APPLY TO DAILY LIFE.
STUDENTS WILL LEARN WHAT CONSTITUTES AN APPROPRIATE ENVIRONMENT TO PRACTICE REIKI-i.e. REMOVE ALL JEWELRY, COMFORTABLE CLOTHING ETC.
